Rosario Dawson and Zombies in NBC Online Series!
NBC Universal is banking on the fact that you like your internet series laced with a little zombie comedy?and Rosario Dawson! Because they?ve just struck a deal to obtain the rights to a few new 50-webisode series, one of which will feature the charming Ms. D according to HollywoodReporter.com
First up, and set for release in late summer, is the sci-fi series and Rosario Dawson starrer Gemini Division, about a New York cop (Dawson) who uncovers a global conspiracy involving the creation of life forms that have assimilated into the unsuspecting public. Rosario Dawson as a New York cop? Why not? She?s already played one (of sorts) in her Image comic book Occult Crimes Taskforce. Expect the usual smart-mouthed, attitude-packed, rough-around-the-edges-but-still-easy-on-the-eyes Dawson.
And NBC has also picked up the rights to Electric Farm?s online zombie comedy series Woke Up Dead, which, like Gemini Division, will broadcast in 50 three-minute episodes and run on various sites, including NBC.com, as well as preview on various TV networks.
