Fox 2000 Remakes 'The Fury'
It?s not unusual for Hollywood to base a film on a twenty-year old film in turn based on a novel. So, in typical remake fashion, we?re going from one Brian to another, since Fox 2000 has just tapped Brian McGreevy and Lee Shipman (both writers of Of Every Wickedness) to pen a ?reimagining? of Brian De Palma?s 1978, The Fury?which itself was based on John Farris? 1976 novel. According to Variety.com, the ?new version will center on a young man with heightened kinetic powers who is abducted by the government in order to take advantage of his special gifts.?
