We all know the agony of a terrible videogame-to-film adaptation, just take the countless Uwe Boll hit-and-misses! But we also know there can be fairly successful adaptations, like the Resident Evil franchise, for instance, which catapulted zombie-killer Alice to mainstream action icon status. According to HollywoodReporter.com, 20th Century Fox has now decided to try their hand at adapting a videogame for film. The studio preemptively picked up the rights to the still-a-work-in-progress game Zero-G, created by Daniel Jevons, about a major U.S. city attacked by an unknown and deadly weapon. The game concept from Union Entertainment (Sin City, The Darkness), is being considered by Fox as a future tentpole event. And since the game is still a work in progress, well, we won?t really know how good or awful that adaptation will be for some time. Fingers crossed, folks.
