We're getting the Christmas 'Spirit'!!!
Great news! Lionsgate must be terribly pleased with Frank Miller?s adaptation of The Spirit. According to Hollywood Reporter, the film, based on Will Eisner?s classic comic book series about a masked vigilante, is now set to release on December 25th! The film was originally scheduled for January 16th, but, according to Lionsgate, "Comic-Con fans resoundingly confirmed what we felt in our bones about The Spirit: this is a great film and an irresistible piece of entertainment... For all of us, it was an easy decision." Nice--they?re listening to us. Maybe Frank Miller was right when he said, at Comic-Con, that "The inmates are taking over the asylum." The film stars Gabriel Macht, Samuel L. Jackson, and Scarlett Johansson, so?it sounds pretty, well, spirited!
