'Bioshock' gets Gore-y
Universal and director Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Ring) have joined forces to bring the bestselling video game Bioshock to the big screen according to Variety. The game takes place in an underwater city where the player controls a pilot who has crash-landed, and fallen upon a secret in the utopian society. Fans of the game will be pleased to know that Universal has structured a "state of the art" deal for the film, so that it does not end up in limbo like the famous Halo debacle.
