In case you?ve been living under a rock for the past few months, director Uwe Boll (Postal, Seed) has been spending the better half of 2008 smack-talking critics, fellow directors, and most likely small children who look at him cock-eyed on the street. In any case, Boll recently did an interview with Vulture in which he explored the option of continuing his streak of big-screen video game adaptations. This time Grand Theft Auto found itself his newest victim. ?Grand Theft Auto would be super interesting for me, and I think I would actually be the right guy to do it, because my movies are all bloody and violent and I don't have a problem with action scenes. But look, they will go, in the end, with a Michael Bay or a Brett Ratner, and it will be a PG-13 movie made for $150 million. I think it would be better to make a $30 million, very hard, brutal movie without compromising, but I'm not optimistic.? Boll doesn?t seem to be too hopeful for a shot at bringing the franchise to the silver screen, and he seemed even less so when asked about the chances of his boxing match with Michael Bay materializing. ?His attorney wrote me that he?s not going to do it now. And I have to face, like, legal consequences if I say anymore that he will do it. But I got an e-mail first from his ? fan club, I guess? They said he will do it, he?s going to kick your ass, and that was the reason I said the fight was on. But the reality is that it?s not going to happen.?

I?ll tell you what. If Uwe Boll can go one sentence without bringing up Michael Bay, or Eli Roth, or Brett Ratner, or some director that isn?t the laughingstock of their trade, I will go to Mandalay Bay and box him on behalf of FEARnet. And if he wins I will go see Postal on the 23rd instead of that beautiful looking Indiana Jones sequel. However, I?m sure we?ve yet to hear the last of Boll?s lunacy.
