Is Sam Raimi done ruining Spiderman yet? No, we?re sure he?s not. But he is doing wonders for zombie movies ? which as we all know is far more important than Tobey Maguire. Cinematical is reporting that SXSW fan-fave Dance of the Dead is being picked up for distribution by Raimi?s Ghost House and Lions Gate Films. The film plays out on the night of the big High-School Prom, the dead rise to eat the living, and the only people who can stop them are the losers who couldn't get dates to the dance. It?s directed by Gregg Bishop, whose debut The Other Side is supposedly also quite a treat for horror fans, so look out for it when it hits theatres. The film is slated for release October ?08.
