I?m trying out this new career as a psychic so I?m going to attempt one of my new tricks with this story. I see?adult diaper sales going?up! Sounds crazy but my vision may not be far off because, according to the Hollywood Reporter, George A. Romero?s 1973 masterpiece Dawn of the Dead will be coming to the 3rd dimension! That?s right. Viewers will finally be given the opportunity to be part of the greatest zombie film of all time as New Amsterdam Entertainment has teamed up with In-Three productions to ?dimensionalize? the pic. This new technology which is exclusive to In-Three has been used only once before to transform a 2-D film to 3-D, it?s first victim being another horror movie of sorts - The Nightmare Before Christmas. Conversion of legacy material using the process starts at about $50,000 per minute and can reach more than $100,000, depending on the complexity of the imagery in terms of visual effects and other elements. However, the studio is hopeful that Dawn will be completed within the next year at that. Yes, there is going to be some pants-wetting action indeed.
