Indiana Jones has bullwhipped, charmed and snaked his way into the top of the box office, crushing the competition and taking the world by storm! It looks like summer is finally upon us, and in these times of sinking economy and global turmoil, we want nothing less then the highest of high action and deep escapism. Just look at the top three movies! As mentioned above, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has grossed a jaw dropping $126M domestically, with an overall worldwide take of $151M. In second place is the continuation of the Narnian adventures featuring Prince Caspian, which slashed and dashed its way up to $28M for a two week total of $96M. Finally, in a strong third place, is everyone?s flavor of the month superhero, Iron Man, which brought in $25M pulling in a four week total of $256M. We had coverage up and down the man of iron, and you can check out, among other tidbits, our interview with director Jon Favreau and our video interviews with the cast. Who says the economy?s slumping? All in all we?ve spent around $450 million dollars (in stimulus checks no doubt) on those three movies alone!
