Remember that time you were in Hot Topic and you wondered who the creepy, raven-haired girl on all those shirts was? Did you immediately after that wonder why she didn?t have her own feature film chronicling her creepy, raven-haired adventures? Well in case you?re unsure of who we speak of, her name is Emily (that?s Emily the Strange to you?) and guess what? She is getting her own feature film! I know, you can die and rest in pieces now. The Hollywood Reporter has received news that said Goth/counterculture icon has been signed up by Dark Horse Entertainment for her own big screen adventure! (Oh boy!) Emily creator Rob Reger has concocted the story for the film which will delve in Emily?s backstory (which considering the fact that she?s a logo on a T-shirt must be quite rich I?m sure) and will involve her four cats ? each of which encompasses a different facet of Garfield?s personality. A young adult novel will accompany the release of the film according to Dark Horse. Back in the 90s Emily turned Rob Reger?s company Cosmic Debris from a small skateboard outlet into a multi-million dollar entity. Seems like it could turn Dark Horse from a studio that made Dr. Giggles into a multi-million dollar entity. I can?t wait. I know I?ve never seen a film about a scary, black-haired girl who stares into people?s souls that was directed by Gore Verbinski and starred Naomi Watts?have you?
