'Zombie Massacre' at 'Harvard'!
Yes, that?s right horror fans, it finally happened? A zombie epidemic began to weave its way southward at about 4:52 P.M. EST in Cambridge, Massachusetts at the renowned Harvard University. Pssshh?you wish. While that?s not actually real news, Variety has reported that producer Warren Zide (American Pie) will be doing his best to bring zombies to the famous Ivy campus after striking a deal on the horror-comedy spec script The Harvard Zombie Massacre. Penned by Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit, the story centers on a scenario in which Harvard is overrun by the undead and America's most brilliant minds fend off America's most brilliant zombies. This definitely isn?t Zide?s first horror-tinged rodeo, as he?s served as a producer on the first three installments of the Final Destination franchise and recently picked up the Joe Dante project Bat Out of Hell for production. Bat and Harvard Zombie Massacre mark two of eight films covered under a seventy-million-dollar financing deal that Zide has struck with Parallel Media. Production on Massacre is set to begin early next year.
