Mel Brooks isn?t exactly known for making people run from movie theaters in terror, however, in recent years one could argue that he has. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the legendary funnyman announced that his BrooksFilms banner will be going into production on a serious horror film entitled Pizzaman (Serious? Wha?). BrooksFilms last visited the genre with David Cronenberg?s 1986 gross-out screamfest The Fly. And as we all know, Brooks himself is no stranger to the genre either being the man behind such horror spoofs as Young Frankenstein, High Anxiety, and Dracula: Dead and Loving It (Two out of three ain?t bad). Brooks gives no logline for the film but did mention that it?s in the scripting stage and will soon be shopped to the studios.
