Attention horror fans! Your official horror poster studio, a.k.a. Lionsgate, has requested a moment of your time? The studio has dropped some big details on its highly anticipated remake My Bloody Valentine 3D and another upcomer, Creek (formerly Town Creek). Both films now have cast, crew, and plot synopses! So without further ado?
My Blood Valentine 3D Official Plot Synopsis:
?Ten years ago, a tragedy changed the town of Harmony forever. Tom Hanniger, an inexperienced coal miner, caused an accident in the tunnels that trapped and killed five men and sent the only survivor, Harry Warden, into a permanent coma. But Harry Warden wanted revenge. Exactly one year later, on Valentine's Day, he woke up...and brutally murdered twenty-two people with a pickaxe before being killed.
Ten years later, Tom Hanniger returns to Harmony on Valentine's Day, still haunted by the deaths he caused. Struggling to make amends with his past, he grapples with unresolved feelings for his ex-girlfriend, Sarah, who is now married to his best friend, Axel, the town sheriff. But tonight, after years of peace, something from Harmony's dark past has returned. Wearing a miner's mask and armed with a pickaxe, an unstoppable killer is on the loose. And as his footsteps come ever closer, Tom, Sarah and Axel realize in terror that it just might be Harry Warden who's come back to claim them...?
Sounds scary?to the third dimension. The film stars horror vet Kerr Smith (Final Destination), hottie Jaime King (Sin City, The Tripper), and Supernatural star Jensen Ackles. And it?s directed by Patrick Lussier, who?s been an editor on a plethora of horror projects including The Eye, Red Eye, and other scary movies with the word ?eye? in their titles. It?s slotted for a clever release of January 23, 2009. That?s when Valentine?s Day is, right?
Now for the more enigmatic project of the two?
Creek Official Plot Synopsis:
"In 1936, the Wollners?a German family living in rural Town Creek, Maryland?are contacted by the Third Reich to host a visiting scholar, Professor Ricard Wirth. In need of money, they accept Wirth into their home. Wirth?s grand occult project seals the Wollners off from the rest of the world and makes them players in a horrifying game of survival.
Now, in 2007, Evan Marshall's life has stalled at twenty-five years old. Left without answers after his older brother Victor's disappearance from a camping trip near Town Creek, he has tried to move on. But when Victor returns one night, very much alive and having escaped his captors, Evan asks no questions--at his brother's request, he loads their rifles, packs up their boat and follows him back to Town Creek on a mission of revenge that will test them in every possible way..."
I?m not really sure how either one of those paragraphs pertains to the other but it sounds interesting at least. And to picque your interest we also have a still from the pic which can be seen below.
