Filmmakers Press Play on '[REC] 2'!
Remember that crazy monster movie Cloverfield that everyone made a big fuss about? Well a year ago (and in Spain) it was a movie called [REC], and today Spanish site Aullidos.com dropped some major news that the filmmakers behind the first [REC], Jaume Balaguero and Paco Plaza, will be teaming up again for a sequel. Not only that but the site also revealed a very eerie (and super early) poster for the film. This isn?t the only action [REC] has been getting lately since the American remake titled Quarantine is set to hit US theaters soon. And we all know that a movie doesn?t even exist until it?s remade in English! The first [REC] is about a television reporter and her cameraman who during a routine ride-along with the county firefighting team find themselves trapped inside a quarantined building where the terrible truth of why the building has been quarantined is slowly revealed through the perspective of the news camera. No release date yet for [REC] 2, but Quarantine hits theaters this November.
