Though filming has only just started on Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, fans began drooling at the thought of a new Terminator film as soon as the project was announced. Among them, rap star Common, who plays Barnes, a part of future savior John Connor's resistance. ?I am a freedom fighter. John Connor?s right-hand man,? Common told us at yesterday's Wanted press junket in LA. Terminator Salvation?s J.C. of course is being played by the Dark Knight himself, Christian Bale. ?I haven?t had any scenes with him yet, but I can?t wait,? Common beams. ?He?s an incredible actor.?

While Common can?t leak too much about the film, he does give us a few morsels. ?When I walked onto the set the first day, I said, ?Man, we are in this world! We are in the future. It was incredible.? And while Common is not much of a gun man in real life, his previous film experiences with guns served him well for Terminator Salvation. ?Not to brag, but when I went to gun training for Terminator, I got through one day before they said, ?Nah, you don?t need any of this.??

Stunts are a different story. ?There was one scene with a motorcycle. I wanted to do a stunt, where I get knocked off the motorcycle,? Common explains, ?but [the producers] wouldn?t let me. I was open to doing it, all ready to go. But at a certain point I realized, ?I?ve got an album coming out soon. I don?t need this!?

And what about the buzz on another fan favorite, the delayed Justice League movie? Rumor has it that Common is up for the part of the Green Lantern, John Stewart. ?Rumors are rumors,? Common says cryptically. ?I will say right now that I would love to be Green Lantern. I love the Justice League. But that?s all I can say.?
