Well unfortunately the writer?s strike has really put productions like Cheaper by the Dozen 3 into shambles so all we?ve got is Smallville casting news (groan?) so this?ll have to tide you over until that pesky Steve Martin gets his ducks in a row. Warner Bros. Television has announced the arrival of two new villains this fall to the quaint town of Smallville ? actors Sam Witwer and Cassidy Freeman. Witwer (Battlestar Galactica, The Mist) will play Davis Bloome, a charismatic Metropolis paramedic who ? when he isn?t saving people ? is forced to confront a burgeoning darkness inside of him that just might be a harbinger of doom. And Freeman (Absolutely Nothing: The Movie) will play Tess Mercer, handpicked by Lex Luthor to succeed him before he vanished, Tess arrives in Smallville as acting CEO of LuthorCorp. Beneath her mysterious allure lies a cunning ruthlessness to match her mentor?s. Sounds ominous ? can?t wait to see Tom Welling put these two in a headlock, although I can?t help but feel like Welling?s wasting a good headlock that could potentially be used to get CBTD3 green lit?there?s always hope.
