Let's face it, for Starship Troopers fans and video gamers alike the notion of a new Starship Troopers video game would be pretty exciting news (especially since it has been about three years since fans have seen anything new)!  To our pleasant surprise, the other day, that alien-bug blasting Johnny Rico of Starship Troopers and Starship Troopers 3: Marauder played by Casper Van Dien, broke the silence and filled us in on some Starship Troopers video game info!

When asked if he had been approached to voice Johnny Rico in a rew Starship Troopers video game, Van Dien said, "I have been approached to do an online thing for Sony which I'm doing right after this interview." And when we asked if it was Starship Troopers 3: Marauder related, Van Dien sheepishly responded, "I think so. I'm not quite sure," just before quickly and charismatically following up with, "That means yes."

Though we don't have any further details at this moment, and the game seems to be in very early stages, it's safe to say that fans can get their Morita Smartrifle and rocket launcher ready for a Johnny Rico reunion--even if it is just for the Starship Troopers 3: Marauder DVD and Blu-Ray hitting stores this August 5th.
