Warner Bros. Charters Flight to 'Lost Planet'

Think back to all those years ago, back when you first experienced the magic of The Empire Strikes Back. Did you wish the battle of Hoth would last forever? Well, you?re in luck, weary snow traveler, because Warner Bros and Capcom are trying to fulfill your hopes and dreams?in a manner that in no way infringes upon LucasFilm Ltd. Property. According to Variety, WB plans to distribute a big-screen adaptation of the Capcom game Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, which the Japanese-based game publisher will co-finance. The game revolves around an expedition to an ice planet that harbors an energy source with the potential to save mankind. And none other than David Hayter (Watchmen, X2) has been tapped to pen the screenplay, so we might see some smarts behind this snowy saga!
