The rumor mill is just about to fly off its spindle this morning. But once again, the rumors sound more true than not. While it was speculated that Paramount was to back out of Comic-Con San Diego this year, such talk is hard to believe as the studio gears up for the release of toy-based blockbusters G.I. Joe and Transformers 2 next summer. And WorstPreviews has picked up a scoop that, regardless of Paramount?s presence, Joe and Transformers will still make a guest appearance. Apparently, Paramount (also behind this summer?s Iron Man and Indiana Jones 4, and the upcoming Tropic Thunder) has handed off footage from the two pics to toy company Hasbro. Hasbro, who developed the original Joe and Transformers toy lines, is playing the content from the upcoming films during their panel. In addition to these two films, another upcoming Paramount flick?Star Trek?will have its own booth on the exhibit floor. Don?t worry though, if you?re not headed to Comic-Con this year you should be able to see the Transformers and Joe footage um, let?s see? on YouTube 15 minutes after it plays at the panel! And don?t forget?FEARnet will be at Comic-Con, giving you coverage all weekend long as the whole crazy thing transpires!
Excited for Comic-Con?! That's not the only thing that's worth getting pumped for! Check out FEARnet's original series 30 Days of Night: Dust to Dust!
