Move Over, Harley Davidson... Here Comes 'Chopper Zombie'!

Reality television producer Thom Beers is joining the horror community?by way of motorcycle. Terrifying, I?m well aware. But Variety is reporting that Beers? shingle Original Productions (ironic considering this is a man who?s made his fortune through reality programming) has come to terms with comic publisher Devil?s Due on a deal that will bring to life his pitch for Chopper Zombie. The project, which will debut as a comic book and then develop into a feature film, is about a motorcycle builder who refuses to sell his formula for a new superfuel to a dangerous corporation. When a team of thugs drowns him in his own toxic creation, he rises from the dead with a score to settle. The comic will launch next week at San Diego Comic Con (where they will also unveil a real life incarnation of the custom chopper from the book) followed by a July 30th wide release. Todd Livingston penned the story for the comic while Scott Keating handled the art?both men developed the story alongside Beers. This should definitely be worth checking out if you?re in San Diego. The motion picture version of the story plans to start production sometime next year under the supervision of Original prexy Phillip Segal.

Into the undead? Well then check out our old pal Robert Zombie's upcoming project Tyrannosaurus Rex!
