Don?t worry. If it?s Warner Bros. News aplenty you wanted this morning, you?ve got it. Another Warner subdivision, Legendary Pictures showed up this morning in Variety with plans for an elaborate cross-platform project set to launch in 2010. The Lost Patrol, a recently acquired piece of real estate for Legendary, is to be adapted by writer Matt Cirulnick from an earlier screenplay by Andrew Hilton and will then be turned into a transmedia property (similar to Heroes, Lost, and Star Trek) where the filmmakers will tailor ties-in to various digital mediums including cell phones, video games, and Internet. No word yet on the plot details of the Lost Patrol, just that it is a supernatural thriller, but with all of this techno-garble ? who needs a plot? Cirulnick is currently in works on another supernatural thriller, Stones, to be directed by Blade Runner helmer Ridley Scott.
