There she blows!! A mighty gust of pretty damn interesting news blew in today about a possible follow up to M. Night Shyamalan's latest film...and I'm not even sure I realized there would b e a follow up!

Hot off the trail of the box office success (and moderate fan failure) of The Happening, the sequel is apparently already in production in the same Philadelphia school, Julia R. Masterman, where portions of the first film were shot.

This afternoon, a student of the school told us that M. Night Shyamalan has been in discussions--which supposedly turned into an all out bidding war--with the school for a summer 2008 production schedule.

Interestingly enough, the bidding war actually began in late January between The Sixth Sense director, Shyamalan and an oh-so-familiar Sixth Sense star, Bruce Willis!

Our source tells us that Shyamalan was offering up school-wide Smart Classroom technology for shooting privileges at Masterman, while Willis' offer included monetary compensation and an air conditioning system for the 76 year old building.

For the first Happening film, Shyamalan provided funds put towards an updated electrical system for the school.

According to the aforementioned student, earlier this year Willis' bid was denied and Shyamalan's, approved.
