Eric Balfour Gets His 'Gargoyle' On!
And now for something completely ludicrous? Sir Eric Balfour the Magnificent (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Hell Ride) will be joining the ranks of such noblemen as Duke Jason Alexander of Seinfeld in becoming one of two actors to associate themselves with gargoyles (not so fast, Ghostbusters fans?Sigourney and Rick Moranis were, technically, granite harbingers of the apocalypse, NOT gargoyles). According to the Hollywood Reporter, Balfour has inked a deal to star along side Caroline Neron, Jason Salinger, Nick Mancuso and Tanya Clarke in the Sci-Fi Channel?s original movie Rise of the Gargoyles. The pic centers on Jack Richmond, a struggling author whose outlandish theories on pagan architecture make him the laughingstock of the academic world. But when Jack finds himself face to face in a demolished church with a live version of the stone gargoyles he's devoted his life to studying, no one believes his story. I smell an adventure!! The telefilm, directed by Bill Corcoran, will be shooting in Romania throughout month?s end and is said to be heavy on the ?visual? (read CGI) aspect of the film. So now that you all have something to look forward to?
