Man, the horror community is really NOT doing wonders for Brazil's Department of Tourism! First John Stockwell and company explored illegal organ harvesting (on its bloodiest day) with Turistas, and now another nightmarish vacation has apparently been booked in the tropical paradise ? only this time it involves werewolves. According to Variety, Scott Steindorff?s Stone Village Productions has nabbed the rights to the spec script Lobo, a film that centers on a colony of Brazilian werewolves. Stone Village has fast-tracked the production for an October 15th start date, and has set up to shoot just outside of Rio de Janeiro. In the film, a man receives a photo and letters from his late mother, then heads to an isolated town in the Amazon to discover his roots. There, he discovers a near-extinct species of werewolf, as well as his true identity, and he helps said werewolves wage a battle for survival. Ezna Sands has been tapped to direct the flick, written by Dikran Ornekian and Ryan Colluci.
