Don't worry you won't soon be seeing any episodes of Cheaters in which a possessive specter catches her man arranging a lover's tryst with ol' Mary Jane Watson at the local P.F. Chang's. What we're talking about is Kirsten Dunst's starring turn in the upcoming adaptation of the A.N. Wilson novel A Jealous Ghost. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Dunst has not only signed a deal to top-line the film?s cast but to produce as well. The 2005 novel describes a young American woman who travels to London to write a dissertation on Henry James' classic ghost tale, The Turn of the Screw, only to find her own circumstances reflecting the strange happenings of the story. Scaaaarrrry. The screenplay was adapted by Megan Holley with helming duties secured by Latin American filmmaker Gonzalo Lopez-Gallego. Vantage has highlighted Ghost as a possible priority project for the studio which means that shooting could start quite soon. How soon seems dependent upon the status of the next two Spiderman films which recently secured Tobey Maguire to shoot 4 and 5 back-to-back next year and will now be looking to lock down Dunst, in a deal that could potentially get in Ghost's way. We will see. Stay tuned, true believers!
