Japan's extreme-metal overlords Dir En Grey – notorious among stateside head-bangers for outrageous videos dripping with nightmare imagery – are taking preorders for their upcoming new album Uroboros, which is set to drop on November 11 from The End Records.
Taking its title from the ancient “snake-eating-its-tail” image from ancient mythology and occult symbolism, the band's seventh full-length album contains 13 new tracks – including some English-language lyrics for the songs “Dozing Green,” “Stuck Man” and recent single “Glass Skin.”
The album will be released in the US in four different formats, including a double vinyl LP and a deluxe CD digipak with a bonus DVD including live footage from their 2007 tour, as well as performances at Germany's Wacken Open Air.
Those who preorder the CD will be automatically entered in a contest... but the band has not yet announced what the prize will be. Hmmm...
