Original 'Buffy' Score Now On CD!
I've you've been crying yourself to sleep ever since the finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer over five years ago, you probably sought comfort in the excellent Buffy comic book series. But even though the print medium allows a broader scope of story possibilities, there's still something missing: the indelible, Emmy-winning musical score by Christophe Beck – which, remarkably, has not been officially available on CD until now (although several cuts here did previously show up on the CD companion to the musical episode “Once More, With Feeling”).
eleased by indie label Rounder Records, the hour-long CD boasts a whopping 29 tracks, comprised of several Beck cues from Seasons 2 through 5, and represents many memorable music highlights from that period – including “Massacre” from Emmy-winning Season 2 episode “The Becoming,” the chilling “Angel Waits” from the “Angel goes bad” period in Season 2, the slapstick “Sugar High” from “Band Candy” and the adrenalin-pumped epic theme of “Apocalypse.”
