If you're into zombies (and if you're not then go take a walk), here's a name you're definitely familiar with: Robert Kirkman. Kirkman is the brilliant mind behind, in my opinion, one of the greatest zombie series in comics, if not all media. And as good luck would have it, Mr. Kirkman was in attendance at this weekend's Baltimore Comic-Con where we had a quick catch-up with the King of the Undead. Here's what he had to say-
So what's up?
Well right now I got events for The Walking Dead and The Astounding Wolf Man going on. We've got a big promotion going on here where we've got guaranteed ship dates going on. So we'll have a guaranteed twelve issues of everything I'm doing. So that's going to be cool. We've also got Image United, which is a big unheard of crossover with all the classic Image characters and all of their creators doing the art. It's going to have Todd MacFarlane, Marc Silvestri, Erik Larsen and all those guys doing all the art.
Then I've got Haunt with Todd MacFarlane. Haunt's kind of like a superhero horror comic. I've got a few things with Marvel still going on [even though I'm no longer doing Marvel Zombies].
What can fans expect next from The Walking Dead?
We've announced that they'll be heading to Washington, so that's going to take the big thrust over the next few years, the trek to Washington. So that's very exciting.
Any end in sight for The Walking Dead?
No, never.
So it will continue to mirror real life?
Yes!
