Turisas Fans Join The "Battle" For New Video
Body paint, animal skins, swords and… accordions? Must be a new Turisas video!
When the heavy metal machine starts building up steam, the FEARnet gang wouldn’t dream of stopping it… hell, we climb right on board! So here’s yet another full frontal video assault, this time from totally deranged, pelt-sporting Finnish metal warriors Turisas, who just released a new video for “Battle Metal 2008.”
Based almost entirely on fan-submitted ideas and footage, the video was created as a tribute to the band’s legions of maniacal fans, and the song “Battle Metal” itself (from their debut album) was re-recorded exclusively for an upcoming DVD (details on that one soon).
The result? Lots and lots of face-painted folks running around in forests, lakes or their own backyards, screaming and hacking away at each other with big-ass swords (or big wooden sticks, for those on a budget). Stonehenge even makes an appearance – actual size, to the disappointment of Spinal Tap fans everywhere.
