Gothic electro-rock unit Godhead will officially spring their long-awaited new album At the Edge of the World tomorrow, but if you're quick about it, you can stream the entire album for free at their Tunelab webpage.
The 80-minute album contains 13 new tracks, as well as five bonus remixes (on CD only) by the likes of techno gods Assemblage 23, Icon of Coil's Sebastian Komor and Curse Mackey of industrial supergroup Pigface. The album's first single ?Stay Back? has enjoyed some meaty radio play ? and a video directed by none other than Buffy's Drusilla, Juliet Landau.
Once known mainly as the first band to sign to Marilyn Manson's (now-defunct) label Posthuman back in 2001, Godhead has toured with Manson, Rammstein and Disturbed, to name only a few, and managed to forge their own path as dark rock artists with a keen eye toward some pop-friendly hooks. After making a sinister splash on MTV with their popular cover of the Beatles' ?Eleanor Rigby? ? in which eerie-looking bald frontman Jason C. Miller confronts his own forlorn twin in a dark alley ? they were soon tapped to contribute tracks to several horror films, including Queen of the Damned.
Here's a bit of trivia, kids: Miller also boasts an extensive acting resume in genre projects, playing ?Nosferatu? for a Comedy Central promo and supplying voices for several anime productions including Code Geass and Moribito.
