Devil’s Due Publishing has really put out some incredible stuff over the years, but none of their comics, at least to my mind, resonate as much as Hack/Slash.  I love this book, and I think the rest of the comic world agrees with me.  Hack/Slash has garnered much attention from comic readers and has even come up with some award buzz (most recently a nomination for Spike TV’s Scream Awards).  The cool thing that Hack has done, however, is integrate its heroine Cassie into some storylines involving characters from all different walks of life.

Crossovers like the upcoming Hackoween (in which Cassie Hack faces off with Halloween Man) and Hack/Slash vs. Chucky (yes, of creepy ginger-haired doll fame) have been really cool.  None, however, can hold a candle to what Comic Monsters have gotten their hands on.  Devil’s Due has released another Hack/Slash crossover entitled Hack/Slash vs. Re-Animator.  That’s right, Herbert West is the newest horror icon to find himself pitted against the badass Cassie Hack.  And guess what?  You can check out the first seven pages of the comic right now over at Comic Monsters FOR FREE.  I’ve done so already, and it’s terrific.  So head on over and give it a looksee – and hey, just for being awesome FEARfans, we’ve got the cover to the comic below…
