Hard-working filmmakers generally take a nice long vacation after completion of a project, in order to celebrate the splendors of their labor and rest their frantic minds. Much like them, I take a nice long vacation a few weeks after the release of every new M. Night Shyamalan film to recharge my batteries from HATING THE SH!T OUT OF EVERYTHING HE DOES. Despite my disaffection for Night, however, it cannot be argued that he isn’t an interesting filmmaker. He definitely can divide a crowd like no one else, and spark heated debate by mere mention of his name – and that’s something not a lot of filmmakers can do. Well it just so happens (Get it? Haaaaappens?) that M. Night’s most recent flick-a-roo hits DVD today. And for all you M. Night lovers, haters and apathists we have some stuff that you can’t find in the special features. We’ve got stills from The Happening’s summer shoot in Philadelphia at one of the film’s pandemic’s attack points, Rittenhouse Park, as well as some video from that very same day. We’ve got exclusive interviews with the cast and much more. So be sure to check out all of FEARnet’s Happening content and don’t forget to pick the film up on DVD today (or if you’re me, don’t forget to burn down a Best Buy).
