SAW 5

The fifth (and allegedly last) chapter in Lionsgate's annual assault on viewers' twitching eyeballs, also known as the Saw franchise, is set to hit theaters on October 24... but in the meantime you can get busy pummeling your eardrums too, since the digital version of the Saw V soundtrack album is scheduled for release on 10/21, and it looks like it's jam-packed with bone-grinding goodness.

Of course it wouldn't be a Saw movie without the chilling industrial score of former Nine Inch Nails keyboardist Charlie Clouser... even though his contributions have been reduced down to just two pieces for this compilation. The remaining tracks represent the usual who's who of metal and industrial acts:

Charlie Clouser: "Trap Attacks"

Testament: "True Believer"

Ministry: "Death And Destruction (Remix)"

Filter: "What's Next (The Blood and Sand Mix)"

The Almighty: "Thanks Again, Again"

Prong: "The Banishment"

Die Krupps: "The Dawning Of Doom"

Clutch: "Power Player"

Skinny Puppy: "ugLi"

William Control: "Strangers"

Emilie Autumn: "Unlaced"

Fixmer/McCarthy: "Blood And Music”

Revolting Cocks: "Wizard Of Sextown"

Funker Vogt: "Date Of Expiration (Expired)"

Charlie Clouser: "What It Takes"

The download will be up for sale next Tuesday through the usual digital suspects, including iTunes and Amazon – who will also add the content to their CreateSpace program, which enables customers to create their own physical CDs.
