What do you get when you cross Dawson’s Creek with Cold Creek Manor?  Well, besides a lot of hoopla that has little to do with water – you’d have the upcoming “horror” film The Haunting of Molly Hartley.  We’ve been blessed with the good fortune of getting a television spot from the movie which, to my surprise, actually isn’t all that bad.  This film first piqued my interest when I saw the full length trailer, as it attempted to mix the atmosphere of Mean Girls with the plot of Rosemary’s Baby – which was off-putting because I had never before witnessed a girl get catty about the fact that her fellow classmate might possibly be Satan’s spawn.  And, when it was all over, I mostly wished I hadn’t.  But to be fair these kinds of movies do at the very least deserve a chance – if only just that initial one.  So give it a shot and, worst case scenario, if it isn’t very good, I think we can alllll enjoy that dreamboat Chace Crawford.  Watch the Molly Hartley TV spot now...
