Josh Brolin is 'Jonah Hex'!
That distant cracking sound you hear this morning is Thomas Jane’s heart breaking. After dressing up like Jonah Hex this summer and getting professional photographers to take pictures of him, the fan-favorite actor will apparently not be cast in the role of the frightening comic-book gunslinger. According to Variety, filmmakers Brian Taylor and Mark Neveldine (Crank, Pathology) have a different cowboy in mind to play the hideously disfigured anti-hero: Josh Brolin. The Planet Terror star is currently in talks to play the DC Comics character Hex and though on Wednesday both Warner Bros. and Brolin’s people claimed the deal was far from inked, sources close to the actor say he’s likely to take the job.
