Something stinks in the state of New Jersey my friends, and it's your good ol' pal The Toxic Avenger in Musical form! Just tonight, the entire editorial staff of FEARnet took a trip to New Brunswick New Jersey where we sucked up the polluted air of the Garden State and sucked back the opening night brew of Toxic Avenger The Musical at the George Street Playhouse.
And as it turns out, in a few short weeks the dirtiest, smelliest thing in New York won't be those sidewalk-stiletto-stepping ladies of the night. The toxic-waste-fighting mutant musical will be ending its run in New Brunswick on November 2nd and picking right back up in New York City! After the show, we spotted that superhuman green freak, Toxie himself, played by Nick Cordero and got the real scoop on the Broadway debut! Read after the jump...
We heard rumors that Toxic Avenger the Musical will be hitting Broadway after its run at the George Street Playhouse. Can you comment on that?
"It's going pretty quickly actually. It will be at the New World Stages on 50th between 8th and 9th I'm super excited this is my first gig in the States, I'm Canadian, so I'm still going along for the ride."
Will the whole cast be involved in the broadway production?
"We're in negotiations but it's looking good."
But you'll definitely be involved in the broadway show?
"It's looking good."
