Lloyd Kaufman Continues to Troma-tize!
We’ve just received a whole truckload of news from our pals at Troma this afternoon. It seems that Troma co-founder Lloyd Kaufman has just been honored with the prestigious Time Machine Award for his film Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken Dead. This award honors not only the achievements of Lloyd’s most current film but his whole career as well. That’s not the only good news for Mr. Kaufman, however, as the press release also announces that Lloyd’s partner and Troma Vice President Michael Herz has greenlit the development of The Toxic Avenger: Part V, The Toxic Twins. This comes just days after we broke the news that Toxic Avenger: The Musical would be headed to Broadway in December. And to round out a day’s worth of the good word, Troma has also announced that Lloyd’s 4th book, Direct Your Own Damn Movie, will debut in January, just in time for the TromaDance/Sundance Film Festival. Congrats, Lloyd. Lord knows where the film industry would be without ya!
