No, that's not a typo, it's just your writer trying to be clever. Nim Vind is the Canadian psychobilly hero who, with his self-titled band, made a bloody splash in 2005 with debut album Fashion of Fear – and managed to forge a dark new path in the horror-rock wilderness with his own brand of theremin-infused surf punk, chock-full of songs about radioactive ghouls and dark, distant worlds.
This week Nim has posted the first round of dates for their Halloween tour with fellow Goth-horror-punk outfit The Vincent Black Shadow – named after the totally ruling classic motorcycle once favored by Hunter S. Thompson. (On a side note, that band recently rolled out their latest album El Monstruo – on which Nim sings a duet with Vincent's lead vocalist Cassandra Ford.) Tour dates include a special Halloween show in Phoenix, where they will be joined by their fellow horror-punks Calabrese.
Nim is still working feverishly on new album Stillness Illness, and promised a sample of the first single in time for Halloween… so be sure to check their MySpace in the next few days for all the gory details.
