Top Cow has been releasing some pretty interesting comics with stuff like The Darkness, Broken Trinity, and the upcoming vampire-centric property Impaler.  But the most time honored tradition over at Top Cow has gotta be Witchblade.  Since Top Cow’s inception in 1996, Witchblade has been there every step of the way and has remained (arguably) Top Cow’s best and most known title.  With a short-lived TV series spawned from the property and a feature film currently in development, it seems that Witchblade has done it all.  Seems being the operative word.  Top Cow unveiled news this morning that Witchblade will next be appearing in the form of an anime series - some art from which we have provided below!

From the renowned anime studio Gonzo, the anime series goes into the future to tell the tale of a new bearer of the Witchblade and the conspiracy that surrounds her burden. And interestingly enough, this adaptation marks the first U.S. comic book property to be made into an anime.  The best part about this, however, has gotta be that until October 26th you can have the first episode in Witchblade: The Anime Series for free on Apple iTunes!  So don’t just sit there!  Take advantage of this offer while you still can!  And be sure to keep checking back for our exclusive interview with the creator of Top Cow’s newest comic series Impaler, Mr. William Harms.
