The 2008 Scream Awards were this weekend, and while they will not air until tomorrow night, you can find out below who made out big at the awards (hint: it’s The Dark Knight). The big news here, however, is that if you happen to give the Scream Awards your undivided attention tomorrow night at 9/8c on Spike TV you might have the chance to witness a rare (and previously unannounced) visit from Fanboy God/Devil George Lucas. Read below to see the full list of winners and tune in tomorrow night to see what part Georgio played at the star-studded event, as well as performances from the Smashing Pumpkins and never-before-seen footage from Watchmen, Friday the 13th, and Twilight.
Editor Joe McCabe’s note: The biggest mistake among these award winners? Never mind that Dark Knight won for special effects (Wha? Over Iron Man and Hellboy II?!), but the film also won best line for something it shamelessly ripped off from an episode of the original Aeon Flux animated series (“Thanatophobia”). That’s right, look it up people – the evil Trevor Goodchild said it (“That which does not kill us, makes us stranger”) before the Joker. Yeah, Christopher Nolan, I’m calling you out!
