Since we’re slowly creeping up on Halloween weekend why not add some horror to your DVD collection? Lionsgate just let us in on their newest release, Wild Country and let me just say that the only word to describe what I’ve heard of it is… wild. Wild Country won’t be available on DVD until December 16th but we’ve got the specs for the cover art below, so check ‘em out. The film centers on Glasgow teen Kelly Ann, who, after being forced to give her baby boy up for adoption, decides to go on a cross country hike through the Scottish Highlands with a church youth group. Unexpectedly, Lee, Kelly Ann’s ex-boyfriend, appears, uninvited, in an attempt to rekindle their relationship. During their journey, Kelly Ann and Lee find an abandoned baby in the ruins of an old castle. As the group attempts to bring the baby to safety, a vicious, wolf-like beast appears from the darkness and begins to stalk the group, picking them off one by one. Again, wild. And know that when I say wild, I really mean "batshit crazy." I’m wondering how this film starts out like a Lifetime movie and then turns into Van Helsing 2: Sorry About That First One. Guess I’ll just have to take a trip to Flavor Country—er, I mean Wild Country, and see how things transpire. Wild Country stars Martin Compston, Samantha Shields, Peter Capaldi, and Alan McHugh. Look for it on Lionsgateshop.com when it goes on presale November 18th!
