Not one to just post up after the breakup of his legendary band Ministry, artist/producer Al Jourgensen has sunk his claws into a lot of interesting projects lately – the newest of which is the dark electro-metal outfit False Icons, co-founded by industrial music stalwart John Bechdel – who played keyboards on Ministry's final tour, and whose resume also includes the likes of Prong, Killing Joke and Fear Factory.

Their sound blends huge, epic electronic atmospheres with low, grinding punk & metal riffs and urgent tribal rhythms, all tied together with Bechdel's haunting vocals (which suggest a gene-splice of Roger Waters and Peter Gabriel) to create a nightmarish future world.

Jourgensen contributed to nearly every aspect of the band's debut album God Complex, acting as producer, mixer and session musician. He's even releasing the album on his own label, 13th Planet Records, which he formed in 2005. If Uncle Al's showing this much love, they've got to be at least interesting.
