A new poster has been released for the upcoming Focus Features creeper Coraline donning the tagline “Be Careful What You Wish For”.  Coraline is definitely one of my most anticipated films of the coming year, as it pairs one of the best filmmakers still working in animation – Henry Selick (James and the Giant Peach, The Nightmare Before Christmas) and comic book legend Neil Gaiman together to bring to life Gaiman’s graphic novel of the same name.  If you haven’t seen the trailer yet, I highly recommend doing so.  But before you do that, check out the poster below!

Coraline follows a young girl who walks through a secret door in her new home and discovers an alternate version of her life. On the surface, this parallel reality is eerily similar to her real life – only much better. But when her adventure turns dangerous, and her counterfeit parents try to keep her forever, Coraline must count on her resourcefulness, determination, and bravery to get back home – and save her family.  The film is directed by Henry Selick and features the voice talents of Dakota Fanning, Teri Hatcher, Ian McShane, and Keith David.  Coraline hits theaters February 2009.
