Warner Bros. just announced plans to release a deluxe 2-CD Collector’s Edition of The Dark Knight soundtrack on December 9th.
Supplements to the acclaimed theatrical score – composed by Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard – will contain nearly an hour of additional music cues and unused material not featured on the original CD release. In addition to the bonus tracks, the second CD will feature 4 brand-new remixes by electro legends The Crystal Method and Paul van Dyk, ambient composer Mel Wesson and multi-instrumentalist Ryeland Allison.
To round out the deal, the set will contain a 40-page hardcover booklet of stills from the movie and newly-commissioned cover art.
Warner is taking pre-orders now at a reduced price, so hurry over to the Dark Knight music site for details.
