Okay, you might want to sit down for this one – or take a Quaalude – whichever you’d prefer.  Hollywood Reporter says that James Van Der Beek is back and starring in a show that centers on… “Adam, an egotistic, sexist sports agent who, under a witch's spell, turns into a beautiful woman so he can endure the harassment he's been dishing out.”  And you thought shit was crazy on the Creek!  The hour-long show, entitled Eva Adams, will air on Fox and star David Denman (The Office’s Roy) alongside the Beek.  Not too many shows flying around about witches turning sports agents into women – except for that Hocus Pocus-Jerry Maguire crossover they tried a couple years ago, but we all knew that wouldn’t work out when Kathy Najimy didn’t sign on (she was the glue, she was the glue…).  Anyway, Van Der Beek is set to play Connor, a former frat boy who’s a good friend of Adam's and an agent at the firm. Denman will play another agent, Paul – a single dad reeling from a devastating divorce.  I’m predicting a storyline in which Connor accidentally sleeps with Adam before he knows he’s been bewitched.  Which, incidentally, will NOT be the first time Dawson has woken up with a woman who used to be a man – glad to hear he’s putting that experience to good use.  No word on when the show will air, but think next fall.  Word IS in on when it will be cancelled though… next fall.
