Anchor Bay Is 'Out' Of Their Minds!!

Kim Basinger fighting gang members in the middle of the woods, armed only with a toolbox.  Sound like something you’d pay money to see?  Well then you must be the proud new owner of Anchor Bay Entertainment – because that’s precisely what Anchor Bay has decreed (so says The Hollywood Reporter).  The Bay nabbed the rights to low-budge thriller While She Was Out, giving the film a December 12th theatrical release and an unspecified 2009 DVD release.  Written and directed by Susan Monford, the flick was executively produced by Guillermo Del Toro, once again proving that that man will attach his name to anything… literally.  "Anchor Bay has been quite aggressive this past year in our search for talent-driven films," Anchor Bay president Bill Clark said. "While She Was Out is exactly the type of film we want to distribute."  Right on Bill.  But that’s nothing compared to tomorrow’s news:  Anchor Bay acquires a remake of Death Wish starring Bea Arthur.
