TWILIGHT Soundtrack Rules the Charts!
Billboard.com reports today that the Twilight soundtrack CD has just booted AC/DC’s comeback hit Black Ice from the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 200 album chart.
Twilight is the third soundtrack album to hit #1 this year (after Juno and Mamma Mia!), and the second-biggest digital download week ever for a soundtrack (after High School Musical 2), according to the figures from Nielsen SoundScan, who first began tracking music downloads in 2004.
Nielsen also reported that the Twilight CD has sold upward of 165,000 copies since its release on November 4th, narrowly edging out Black Ice by around 5,000 units.
