Combichrist Unleashing the DEMONS!
Horror-happy electro/noise maniacs Combichrist – whose nightmarish image mashes up everything from police-state regalia to zombie makeup to Japanese schoolgirls with chainsaws – have announced the imminent arrival of their sixth full-length album Today We Are All Demons, scheduled to drop in January.
Founded by Norway's Andy LaPlegua (also co-creator of electro-Goth act Icon of Coil), Combichrist is probably best known in club circles for remixes of industrial heavy-hitters like KMFDM (with whom they have often toured), Front Line Assembly, Suicide Commando and Mindless Self Indulgence.
But it was their 2006 club favorite “Get Your Body Beat” from previous album What the F**k is Wrong with You People? that kicked them up to the next level, holding strong on Billboard's Top 10 Hot Dance Charts for over six weeks and making them one of Metropolis Records' top-selling artists.
