'Details' On Pascal Laugier's Next Project
This year, one of the hotter horror projects to do the festival circuit was a little French flick called Martyrs. If you haven’t heard about this one, it's written and directed by a guy named Pascal Laugier, and the film helped Laugier to score more work -- next time writing and directing the Hellraiser remake. Or will it be next time… The Hollywood Reporter has scooped that this morning Laugier also closed a deal to adapt and direct the supernatural thriller Details for Paramount Vantage. So which one will be next? No word on that yet, but close to two years ago Paramount Vantage nabbed the rights to Details, which focuses on a daughter who disappears after stirring up dark forces and the father obsessed with finding her. And the studio seems pretty anxious to get the project rolling. Although both projects are still in scripting, Laugier will be doing rewrites on Details and starting Hellraiser from scratch.
