Seattle's metal gods Nevermore – revered for their dark, multi-layered sound, rich blend of thrash and prog-metal instrumentation and doom-filled lyrical themes – have spent the last three years touring to promote their album This Godless Endeavor, and this week you can harvest the fruits of their labor thanks to a veritable monkey butt-load of nightmarish audiovisual treats.
First up is a double DVD set entitled Year of the Voyager, a document of the band's live performances from 2005 and 2006 – including a massive show in Bochum, Germany on Disc 1, and the USA “Gigantour,” Poland's Metal Mania and Germany's Wacken Open Air festival on Disc 2. Bonus features rounding out Disc 2 include footage from label Century Media's 10th Anniversary Party in 2001, all of Nevermore's music videos to date and an interview with singer Warrel Dane.
The DVDs are also available in a limited-edition set with 2 CDs containing all tracks from from the Bochum concert. A vinyl version is coming too, and the audio content will also be available for download.
